Teeth can incur defacing characteristics such as becoming chipped, crooked, cracked, or overlap. This can result from habitual tendencies such as bruxism (grinding) or from an incidental injury and even heredity. Remedies of cosmetic reshaping and contouring treatments, such as in many cases, can greatly reduce the signs of these conditions. For one instance, a crooked or uneven tooth can be corrected by a reshaping procedure that gently removes enamel from an area of the tooth.
