Veneers
Veneers
Veneers, which can be placed within just a few visits to the dentist’s office, are thin laminates used to correct any stains on teeth caused by tobacco, caffeine, or food, as well as cracked or chipped teeth, or to cover any gaps between teeth.
To place veneers, a preliminary visit is required so an impression of the tooth can be made and the veneer will be molded in the dental laboratory. During the placement visit, a thin layer of the tooth is buffed away so the veneer will fit on the tooth. This buffing removes some tooth enamel, making placement of veneers permanent. The veneer is bonded to the tooth with cement, which is dried with a speed light.
